Aluminium that carries water for fifty years.

IRRIGO manufactures aluminium irrigation pipes and fittings in Niš, Serbia — six-metre segments in six diameters, joined by standard couplings, laid across fields from the Balkans to the North African coast. Soldatovic Holding Co. is a minority investor. This page is our record of the venture; the products are at irrigo.rs.

Six diameters, one segment length

Every IRRIGO pipe is a six-metre aluminium segment. Six diameters cover everything from a garden lateral to a farm mainline: ø50, ø70, ø90, ø110, ø125, and ø150 mm. The ø70 is the working size for family farms and plots of one to five hectares, usually paired with a ø90 mainline; the larger diameters carry water for professional operations. Every pipe is inspected before it ships.

Why aluminium

  1. No coating — the metal protects itself with its natural oxide layer.
  2. No corrosion — the reason a pipe laid today is still in service decades later.
  3. Fifty-plus years of service life — an asset, not a consumable.
  4. One hundred percent recyclable — at the end of its life the metal goes back into the loop.

IRRIGO pipes are compatible with the standard couplings farmers already own — Bauer, Perrot, and Humet types — and the fittings range covers collars, connectors, caps, elbows, reducers, and branches with valves, so a system can be extended or reconfigured without replacing what is in the ground.

A system, laid out

A mainline of ø90 or ø110 carries water from the source. Laterals of ø70 branch from it at valved hydrants, each built from six-metre segments coupled end to end, each carrying risers and sprinklers whose coverage circles overlap so that no strip of the field is missed. The same components serve a two-hectare orchard and a hundred-hectare farm; only the count changes.

A horizontal mainline feeds four valved laterals. Five sprinklers on each lateral provide overlapping circular coverage. Schematic, not to scale. FIG. Schematic field layout: a mainline runs left to right with four valved branches; from each branch a lateral of coupled six-metre segments runs across the field; sprinklers along each lateral produce overlapping circular coverage so the whole field is watered. Not to scale.

From Niš to the coast

IRRIGO supplies industrial and professional agricultural operations in Serbia and customers in Montenegro, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kosovo, ships into the European Union, and delivers to North and West African ports — Casablanca, Algiers, Tunis, Alexandria, Dakar, and Abidjan — on FOB or CIF terms. The company's stated ambition is to become a recognised European brand in the global irrigation-equipment market, with Africa as its growth region.

Lineage

Nissal

For more than three decades, Nissal made irrigation equipment that farmers across the region trusted.

Agro Systems

Founded in Niš, Agro Systems carried the Nissal know-how forward in aluminium pipes, fittings, and solar collectors.

IRRIGO

IRRIGO holds Nissal's technology, expertise, and production infrastructure and was formed with the founding team of Agro Systems to take the product to regional and global markets.

How Soldatovic Holding Co. is involved

Soldatovic Holding Co. is a minority investor in IRRIGO. We do not run the factory; the founding team does, and they know aluminium better than we ever will. Our role is the one we take in every venture: capital, and the operating capability we describe under What We Do — product, technology, digitisation, and commercial systems — applied where it moves the business, from production planning and quality records to export readiness and the way customers order and are served.

We think about IRRIGO the way we think about our own products: total cost, operating burden, and whether it will still be running in ten years. A fifty-year pipe is a good place to practise that.
